
Shellie Pickett began her early career in broadcasting in the On-Air operations department at WNET-TV in New York followed by a successful career in teaching. Ever since she could hold a pencil Shellie created and wrote stories in her black marbled composition book. Her short stories, poems, and essays have appeared in various publications including the anthology Through the Eyes of Women of the 20th Century, Family Digest magazine, and NJEA online magazine. Shellie serves on the board of the Liberty States Fiction Writers and is a member of Women’s Fiction Writers Association. Shellie is currently seeking publication of her debut women’s fiction novel. She and her husband are RV’ers who enjoy spending summers at the Jersey Shore.
