About Shellie

Shellie Pickett began her career in broadcasting in On-Air operations at WNET-TV in New York. Disenchanted with the grueling daily commute Shellie left her position to create a successful greeting card company, before ultimately landing a teaching job near her home in central NJ. Her short stories, poems and essays have appeared in various publications including the anthology Through the Eyes of Women of the 20th Century, Family Digest magazine and NJEA online magazine. Shellie serves on the board of Liberty States Fiction Writers and is a member of Women’s Fiction Writers Association. She and her husband are RV’ers who enjoy their summers in a campground at the Jersey shore.
